As a Technical Sales Engineer, you are part of the Global Sales Management and report to the Head of the Grid Integration department. You are responsible for all aspects related to SCADA and wind farm controls within the sales department, as well as managing the interfaces with other departments within ENERCON.

Your tasks/Your duties

  • Analyse tender requirements in regard to performance of ENERCON SCADA products
  • Review and edit contractual documents concerning SCADA products
  • Participate in contract negotiations and project meetings in regard to SCADA topics
  • Technical risk assessment and mitigation prior to contract signature
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, system operators or consultants regarding SCADA capabilities
  • Organize and execute internal as well as external workshops and presentations on SCADA functionality
  • Represent ENERCON in SCADA-related wind industry working groups and technical committees
  • Create requests to the Research and Development (WRD) department for modification of existing or development of new SCADA products based on market requirements
  • Represent ENERCON at fairs, conferences and workshops

Your qualifications

  • University degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience in designing and conducting technical or commercial presentations and training
  • Keen Knowledge in industrial controls or SCADA engineering
  • Strong command of the English language, German language skills are desirable, but not mandatory
  • Knowledge in communication infrastructure and protocols (Modbus, DNP, IEC-101, IEC-104, OPC, …)
  • Good presentation and comprehension skills
  • Talent for clear written communication
  • Precise expression in spoken or written form, for the drafting of contractual clauses and the presentation of technical content
  • Ability to explain complex technical content in an understandable way
  • Understanding of control engineering concepts, especially related to the electrical performance of wind power plants at the grid connection point
  • Results and solution-oriented
